A pencil skirt is slim fit that is cut straight from hip to hem and usually falls below the knee.
In basic black the pencil skirt is a sophisticated tailored look. More modern versions come in denim or cotton jersey.

I love the Target skirt! Wow- what a steal for only $12.49.
I bought a pencil skirt a few years ago and have worn the heck out of it. It’s a classic piece for any closet.
