At the 64th Annual Golden Globes, Dame Helen Mirren took home two awards for playing two very different Queens named Elizabeth.
She could easily have won a third for recreating the role of Jane Tennison in the seventh and final installment of Prime Suspect.
Looking resplendent in a blue gown with plunging neckline, Mirren said as she accepted her award for playing England’s current Queen Elizabeth, “I think you fell in love with her, not with me.”
Don’t underestimate yourself, Helen. We adore you. Congratulations.
