Mall Shopping vs. Online Shopping

Shopping Mall
Feeling the urge to shop, I took a trip to the mall today. I didn’t need anything, wasn’t looking for anything in particular. I just wanted to window shop, and perhaps buy something if I saw something great. Oftentimes when you are not looking, you find something fantastic.

But I had a hard time parking and once inside, the mall was crowded and loud. Too many people, too much quality time with the hoi polloi.

Selection in the shops was limited, the clothes had all been picked over and handled. The stores were playing loud music, kids were running around.

Overall, it was not a satisfying experience.

I ended up driving home disappointed. I went online and shopped the entire world instead. The only drawbacks to online shopping are that you can’t try on the clothes and sample the products, and you have to wait for them to be shipped. But the selection is fantastic.

Here are my purchases from gloss.com:

Chanel Nail Colour in Jasmine and Madness

Chanel Quadra Eye Shadow in Sparkling Satins

I think I’ve outgrown the mall experience.

Whatever you have, I think it’s catching. My husband asked why I was staying at home today. Just wasn’t in the mood to be bothered with the crowds.

  2. Where is this?

  3. I was shopping in Los Angeles but the picture is a stock photo of a mall in Japan.

  4. dammm i like your mall dod were is this like………………………………………….

  5. There is simply no way you can get me into a mall when I have the Internet. It’s the biggest shopping mall in the world right here on my desk. And I don’t have to put on my shoes (not to mention spend money on gas, etc).
