Like most things in fashion, the color white was introduced to evening wear by Coco Chanel.

Gabrielle “Coco” Chanel started designing white evening gowns before anyone else. She started so many fashion trends.

White can be a very glamorous color. Think of white satin evening gowns and white fur on Hollywood starlets of the 1930s.

Recently, some celebrities have been adopting the white trend.
