Morocco Rose Ball
Salle des Etoiles – Sporting Monte-Carlo
750 €
The “Morocco Rose Ball” will be held on March 27th in the Salle des Etoiles at the Sporting Monte-Carlo. Presided by HSH Sovereign Prince Albert II and HRH the Princess of Hanover, the evening is organized in aid of the Princess Grace Foundation.
For the 2010 edition, HRH the Princess of Hanover has chosen the theme of Morocco and asked her friend, interior designer Jacques Grange, to design and supervise the decoration of the Salle des Etoiles. He has endeavored to convey the very essence of this fascinating realm by placing the emphasis on the original simplicity of the Orient, featuring the light and traditions of Morocco which cast their spell on artists like Matisse and Majorelle, and inspired great films in the 1940’s and 50’s such as the cult movie, “Casablanca”.
It is in this refined and exotic atmosphere that guests attending the “Morocco Rose Ball” will enjoy a show taking oriental arts of the stage, both traditional and contemporary, to their peak. Refinement at every moment, in the bewitching ambiance of a large international hotel in the 1930’s… A subtle blend of artistes from East and West, screenings of rare footage from the Cinémathèque of Tangiers and many other surprises, to create a unique and totally unforgettable atmosphere.
March 22 is the birthday of two of our best modern day composers: Stephen Sondheim and Andrew Lloyd Webber.
Happy Birthday, gentlemen. Thank you for all of the wonderful music.

It’s been a long week.
On Monday, the credit card reform act takes effect. It’s called the Credit Card Accountability Responsibility and Disclosure Act of 2009 also referred to as the Credit CARD Act of 2009. While it prevents some of the evil practices by these companies, it still leaves loopholes you should be aware of.
Make sure you read the fine print on your credit card statements and any mailings you received from the companies. They will try to find any way to nickel and dime you, so empower yourself with knowledge.
