Here is a beautiful sparkly look from one of my favorite youtube channels, pixiwoo.
It’s winter solstice time. Simply put, it is the longest night and shortest day of the year. The days will gradually start to get longer now leading us to warmer weather.
Not simply put, this marks a time of year when many different cultures, modern and ancient, have celebrated at the same time. Some have called it midwinter, yule, saturnalia, and many other names.

More Christmas music recommendations. Here are some of my favorites this season.
Sweet-voiced singer Marie Michele Desrosier has two lovely Christmas albums. I downloaded this one from iTunes.

Another iTunes download, Bruno Pelletier has a live Christmas concert. I downloaded a few songs. The album is an import so it goes for various prices on Amazon depending on the seller.

A fun way to get into the French Christmas spirit, this two-volume collection features many French singers. Don’t miss Django Reinhardt’s Christmas Swing on volume 2.

I’m a sucker for makeup palettes.
This Sephora collector’s palette will make a perfect holiday gift for a beauty lover. It contains 84 powder eye shadows in warm and cool shades, 3 blushes, 60 lip glosses, 2 lip liners, 3 eye liners, 6 cream eye liners, 6 matte eye shadows, 6 sparkling eye shadows, and a few applicators.
I have last year’s palatte and I use something from it every day. Just having all of those eye and lip colors is so comforting. No one will use the applicators. But the rest of the kit has good pigment and texture.
