Prince Albert of Monaco and his sister Princess Stephanie attended the inauguration of an exhibition to mark the 25th anniversary of their mother’s death.
Grace Patricia Kelly was born in Philadelphia in 1929. She moved to New York to attend the American Academy of Dramatic Arts and worked as a model while in school. She went on to star in several movies directed by Alfred Hitchcock and won an Academy Award in 1954 for The Country Girl playing opposite Bing Crosby. In 1956 she left Hollywood to marry Prince Rainier of Monaco. They have three children, Caroline, Albert and Stephanie.
The exhibit features many of Grace Kelly’s dresses including her stunning wedding gown, a gift from MGM, designed by costumer Helen Rose.
The exhibit runs in Monaco until September 23 before it moves on to London.
